Regina Carregha (Reh-HEE-Nah) is an award-winning, bilingual actress from Cancún México, based in New York City.
She began acting at the age of 15, participating in Regional Theatre productions such as Shrek the Musical, Matilda,
The Little Mermaid, and Annie, where she discovered her love for Storytelling.
After graduating High School, she studied Musical Theatre for two years in Santa Fe University of Art and Design in New Mexico (2015-2017), and then moved to the concrete jungle to study at the prestigious Stella Adler Studio of Acting 3 year Conservatory (2017-2020).
She is a proud associate of TeamTheatre LLC.
Regina is the recipient of the "Best Actress" and "Best Production" Awards, for her performance on "The White Boots", a play she Co-Wrote, and was officially selected for The FunFastFebFestival 2021.
She also wrote, directed and performed a piece called “Carta a Toda Mujer” in which she speaks about her upbringing in a "Machista" México as a brown, curvy and loud woman. This piece was part of the Official Selection of the Time Zone Free section at The Global Forms Theater Festival 2020, and has more that 30K Views on Instagram.
Regina made her producer debut along with her sister Sofia Carregha Lozano, with "Duplicity" an Indie short film, written by her father Koy, in which they also star in.
She loves working on challenging material especially featuring characters striving for a better life and Latine and Womxn's Empowerment Stories.
